Senior Director of E-Commerce Operations
Position Summary:
We are seeking a strategic, high-impact Senior Director of E-Commerce Operations to lead and evolve the execution of our digital storefront. This senior leader will drive cross-functional alignment across technology, operations, site merchandising, marketing, and business performance—owning the operational strategy and execution of our e-commerce platform with a relentless focus on conversion, engagement, and customer satisfaction. Based in BrandsMart’s Fort Lauderdale, FL offices, this role will collaborate closely with senior leaders across the organization and report to the VP of E-Commerce at the parent company in Atlanta.
Key Responsibilities:
E-Commerce Strategy & Operations
- Lead development and execution of the e-commerce operations strategy to achieve revenue, profitability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction goals.
- Oversee and continuously improve end-to-end operations, including site functionality, order fulfillment, inventory management, and customer service.
- Champion omnichannel integration, ensuring seamless customer experiences across all digital touchpoints.
- Establish and monitor operational KPIs, using data insights to drive strategic decisions and growth.
Digital Merchandising Management
- Guide merchandising strategy for online product assortment, optimizing mix, pricing, and placement for profitability and customer appeal.
- Oversee enhancements to site content, categorization, and search functionality to elevate the customer journey.
- Own and evolve product detail page (PDP) strategy, including rich content, visual assets, and financing callouts.
Performance & CRO
- Lead conversion rate optimization initiatives using analytics and behavioral insights to identify friction points and growth opportunities.
- Set performance benchmarks and oversee reporting on KPIs such as conversion rate, bounce rate, engagement metrics, and funnel progression.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to prioritize and implement optimizations across the shopping and application funnel.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Serve as a thought leader on e-commerce trends and technology, providing strategic recommendations for operational improvement.
- Ensure e-commerce platforms (CMS, PIM, search engine, personalization tools) are optimized for usability, speed, and scale.
- Mentor and develop cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred.
- 10–15+ years of experience, with significant leadership in digital commerce roles.
- Proven success leading site operations or digital merchandising in a large retail environment.
- Expertise in user experience, digital merchandising strategy, and conversion rate optimization.
- Collaborative leadership style with strong analytical and strategic capabilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience leading re-platforming initiatives.
- Proficiency in GA4 and A/B testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with modern React libraries and frameworks.
- Experience managing onsite search, product recommendation tools, and testing platforms.
Background in high-SKU count environments with localized inventory and delivery variations
