Provides accurate, timely and relevant financial information to internal and external clients and customers in order to achieve the functional area’s objectives. Responsibilities include: general accounting, inter/intra company activity, account reconciliation, close and month-end processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reporting and variance analysis.  Requires familiarity of commonly used accounting concepts, practices, policies and procedures such as GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley. Typically reports to a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Review and analyze all supporting schedules and general ledger accounts for interims, monthly and year-end closing. 

• Reconcile Balance sheet accounts and make appropriate journal entries. 

• Reconcile bank statements. 

• Work effectively alongside external auditors. 

• Ensure all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved. 

• Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary. 

Required Education, Experience, and Certifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years general accounting experience with 2-3 years of general ledger exposure  

• Knowledge of GAAP, month end close process, and balance sheet reconciliation procedures 

• Advanced MS Office skills (Excel – proficient in use of vLookup, Pivot Tables and manipulation of large datasets 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required 

• Working toward CPA, desirable
