IT Manager – Technology Operations & Infrastructure
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead our Technology Operations (TechOps) and Infrastructure teams. This is a player/coach role requiring both hands-on technical expertise and strong leadership skills. The IT Manager will oversee application support, systems analysis, and field technology operations while also managing system and network engineering efforts. The successful candidate will balance technical contribution with people leadership to ensure operational excellence and team growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the TechOps group, including application support, systems analysts, and field technicians.
- Manage the Infrastructure team of system and network engineers responsible for server, storage, cloud, and networking environments.
- Serve as a player/coach by providing technical guidance and direct contribution while fostering team development and accountability.
- Enhance (as needed) and maintain processes for incident management, problem resolution, change management, and system documentation.
- Ensure compliance with IT General Controls (ITGCs), IT security policies, standards, and industry best practices.
- Oversee monitoring, capacity planning, system performance, and availability of core IT services.
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate technology solutions that support business needs.
- Contribute to IT strategy, roadmap planning, and budgeting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise infrastructure (servers, storage, networking, cloud platforms) and business applications.
- Strong knowledge of IT operations practices, including incident, change, and problem management.
- Familiarity with ITGCs, audit processes, and control frameworks (e.g., SOX, COBIT, ISO).
- Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience balancing operational priorities with strategic projects in a fast-paced environment.
